CISC Session on U.S. Trade Case ITC Questionnaire
Questionnaires issued by the United States International Trade Commission (ITC)
AISC Fabricated Steel trade case against Canada
Dear Fabricator Members,
This week the U.S. International Trade Commission sent questionnaires by email to Canadian fabricators thought to be exporting to the U.S. at some point during the period of inquiry (last 3 years). These questionnaires are related to the final phase of the trade process relating to the AISC anti-dumping and countervailing duty case against Canada, Mexico and China (see attached).
Even though Canada has been assessed with a provisional duty rate of 0%, the trade process is not yet complete. Canada needs to participate to the end of the process in order to protect the position we have at the moment.
The CISC strongly encourages all companies that have received questionnaires by email to complete and submit, as instructed, no later than November 8, 2019.
The CISC and its legal team will be holding a web conference next Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 1:00p.m. EST (Toronto time) to review the questionnaire and field any questions you may have related to the case. A separate email notice will be sent related to registration for the web conference.
