On December 30, 2018 the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (“CPTPP”) between Canada and 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific Region came into force. In the article we discuss how this new trade agreement facilitates the issuance of work permits and provides Canadian businesses with easier access to foreign professionals.
