New Code of Ethics for College Members
The Ontario College of Trades (College) is pleased to announce the new Code of Ethics for all members of the College. The Code of Ethics further defines expectations of College members that are already outlined in the Professional Misconduct Regulation (O. Reg. 97/13), and will help elevate the skilled trades and increase public confidence.
We recognize that the majority of members already display high levels of professionalism and pride in their certification. The Code of Ethics helps strengthen these high standards, and includes obligations related to professional conduct.
College members are to refer to the Code of Ethics for guidance on how to conduct themselves in the most professional way during interactions with clients, fellow members, the College and other tradespeople.
The Code of Ethics is part of the College’s general by-law, and can be found on our website
here.
