Health Canada has released the proposed Hazardous Products Regulation in the Canada Gazette Part 1 for public comment. The proposed regulation will implement the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) in Canada. The proposal along with a Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement can be accessed through this link: http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/
This is likely the final opportunity stakeholders will have to comment on the proposal which will result in changes to the framework of WHMIS across Canada and provincially. The deadline for comments is September 8, 2014. Comments can be submitted to:
